Chandrapur, March 13 -- A 36-year-old man was killed in a tiger attack in a village in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, a forest official said on Friday.
The incident took place on Thursday night in Fiskuti village of Mul tehsil.
The deceased has been identified as Vasudev Kankalwar, a resident of Junasurla village.
According to officials, Kankalwar was sleeping near his flock of sheep when the tiger pounced on him and dragged him into the nearby forest.
