Mumbai, July 17 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said today that the Mahayuti government was committed to fulfilling the common people's dreams of owning a home, besides bringing back Marathi families who were forced to leave Mumbai due to housing issues.
The city's long-pending redevelopment projects will now be fast-tracked to transform Mumbai into a slum-free, modern metropolis, he said.
Speaking under Rule 293 in the Legislative Assembly, Shinde emphasised that the most significant transformation of Mumbai since India's independence was now on. "We are working to connect Mumbai with the world, and this makeover is happening under the Mahayuti government's tenure," he said.
