Kolhapur, April 29 -- A low-intensity earthquake of magnitude 2.7 was felt in Chiplun taluka of Ratnagiri district today afternoon.
The earthquake, recorded at 2.7 on the Richter scale, was occurred around 2:17 pm.
According to preliminary information, the epicentre of the tremor was reported to be underground in the Yegaon area of Chiplun taluka. Due to the low intensity of the earthquake, no loss of life or damage to property was reported.
