Beed, March 15 -- A total of 86 cases were settled amicably during a Lok Adalat organised in Parli of Beed District through the joint efforts of the Parli Taluka Legal Services Committee and the Parli Bar Association today.
The cases included civil and criminal matters as well as disputes involving various banks, credit societies and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (Mahavitaran).
According to officials, the Lok Adalat disposed of 24 pre-litigation matters along with 62 pending cases, taking the total number of resolved cases to 86. Through these settlements, banks and credit institutions were able to recover a total amount of Rs 68,85,284.
