Nashik, Oct. 26 -- The main gang leader wanted in the Friday night murder of a youth in Jalna district was arrested by the city's Crime Branch Unit One yesterday. The suspect, Vishal alias Vangya Shivaji Gaikwad (24), resident of Jalna, had fled the district and was apprehended near Nashik Road Railway Station.
Unit One laid a trap and successfully nabbed Gaikwad following specific intelligence inputs. The operation was carried out on the advice of Assistant Commissioner Sandeep Mitke and Senior Inspector Aanchal Mudgal.
The deceased, Vikas Prakash Londhe (25), resident of Nutan Vasahat, was the son of a social activist from Jalna.
