Mumbai, Oct. 23 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued a yellow alert for several regions across Maharashtra, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rainfall.
The alert covers districts in the Konkan-Goa region, Madhya Maharashtra, and parts of Marathwada, which are likely to experience unstable weather conditions.
The IMD attributed this development to a cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal, which has caused changing wind patterns and atmospheric instability across the state.
Authorities advised citizens to remain cautious and take necessary safety measures, as sudden storms or heavy showers may occur in isolated areas.
