Nagpur, Oct. 27 -- A 31-year-old man allegedly killed his wife with an iron spade after spotting her speaking to a former boyfriend, police said today.
Kishore Pradhan, a garage worker, has been arrested, police said.
His 23-year-old wife had eloped with her boyfriend 25 days ago. After returning, she apologised.
However, yesterday, he saw her chatting with her boyfriend.
Enraged, Pradhan hit her with an iron spade, leaving her critically injured.
He later took her to Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, where doctors declared her dead, police said.
