Jalna (Maharashtra), Sept. 17 -- Heavy rainfall has continued to batter various parts of Maharashtra, with Jalna district witnessing tragic casualties and widespread agricultural damage.
Two women have lost their lives and one person has been injured in rain-related incidents, while cloudburst-like conditions have caused extensive crop destruction across multiple talukas.
The casualties include sixty-year-old Suman Ghodekar, who died when a wall collapsed on her in the Chamda Bazar area of Jalna city. The second victim is sixty-five-year-old Shardabai Shirisundar, who was swept away by floodwaters in Devpimpalgaon village of Badnapur taluka.
