Mumbai, April 24 -- The Bombay High Court on Thursday dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) on the attendance in the law colleges while seeking directions to the Mumbai University to strictly enforce and ensure compliance with the 75 percent attendance rule in these colleges in accordance with the applicable laws, rules and regulations.
While dismissing the plea, the division bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice M S Karnik in its order noted that the petitioner had failed to provide specific details to support allegations that students were being allowed to attend exams without sufficient attendance.
