Mumbai, April 19 -- A gas tanker overturned on Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway in Palghar district causing major traffic disruption today.

According to initial reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to overspeeding, leading to the accident. The tanker is believed to have been transporting hazardous butyric acid, raising safety concerns in the area.

CCTV footage from the site showed commuters running for safety as the tanker fell onto the busy intersection. No casualties have been reported so far.
