Nagpur, Nov. 3 -- Four women have died after undergoing caesarean sections at a private hospital in Maharashtra's Nagpur district, officials said on Sunday.
The incidents happened in Hingna Hospital, with the women reportedly perishing due to excessive bleeding following delivery, prompting health authorities to launch a probe,Three of the women died within 24 hours of surgery, while the fourth succumbed after two days. Only one autopsy has been conducted so far, with results awaited along with viscera and histopathology reports.
Deputy Director of Health Services Dr Shashikant Shambharkar has formed an inquiry committee, while Civil Surgeon Dr N.B. Rathod has ordered the hospital's operation theatres closed until investigation is complet...
