Gondia, Sept. 2 -- A major fire broke out in an accident relief medical coach (ARMC) parked on platform number three of Gondia railway station on the busy Howrah-Mumbai rail route today, affecting train services, Railways officials said.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m..

As soon as smoke and flames were spotted, railway staff and officers rushed to the spot and launched firefighting operations on a war footing.

After sustained efforts, the blaze was successfully brought under control.

No casualties were reported, the officials said.
