Mumbai, April 28 -- A retired extension officer of a local Panchayat Samiti in Maharashtra died of a heart attack while celebrating his daughter's success in the prestigious UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination at Vagad (Ijara) in Mahagaon taluka of Yavatmal district, the family sources of the officer said here on Monday.
According to details, as officer Prahlad Khandare's daughter, Mohini, had obtained an impressive rank in UPSC results, the family, along with neighbours, relatives and well-wishers, were gathered at their house to mark this proud moment.
During celebration, Khandare was visibly emotional and overjoyed at his daughter's success, which had fulfilled a long-cherished dream of the family.
