Kolhapur, May 13 -- The Western Maharashtra Devasthan Committee (WMDC) has enforced a dress code for devotees at Karveer Nivasini Shri Mahalaxmi temple, popularly known as Ambabai, prohibiting wearing loose clothes while taking 'darshan' of Goddess Sri Ambabai.
Similarly, the Devasthan Committee of Shree Jyotirling temple in Panhala tehsil of the district has also enforced a dress code for devotees.
In a press release issued here on Tuesday, the WMDC said that from today, devotees are prohibited from wearing loose and short clothes and instead wear traditional clothes while taking 'darshan' of presiding deity.
The WMDC has appealed devotees to cooperate with them.
