Mumbai, March 4 -- The Maharashtra state unit of the Congress offered to support NCP founder Sharad Pawar as the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA)'s candidate to the Rajya Sabha, after a meeting here at Gandhi Bhavan today.
Sharad Pawar-led NCP working president and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule met senior Congress party leaders at the meeting attended by Maharashtra Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal, Legislature party leader Vijay Wadettiwar, Congress group leader in the Legislative Council Satej alias Bunty Patil, Maharashtra Vice President Mohan Joshi, Sharad Pawar-led NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad and others.
