Nagpur, Oct. 3 -- Senior Congress leader and Karnataka State Policy and Planning Commission vice-chairman B R Patil today alleged large-scale voter fraud in the 2023 Aland assembly elections and accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of failing to act adequately.
Speaking to reporters in Nagpur, Patil claimed that over 6,000 names were targeted for deletion from the voters' list through a "systematic conspiracy" designed to ensure his defeat. He asserted that fraudulent applications were filed using automated software.
Patil stated that while the party had "recovered the stolen votes," the culprits behind the attempt to delete the names were yet to be identified.
