Ch. Sambhajinagar, May 8 -- The Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court has directed maintenance of status quo on the Maharashtra government's decision to cancel and redirect funds allocated for four development projects in Ausa city.

A division bench, comprising Justices Vibha Kankanwadi and Ajit B. Kadethankar, passed the interim order while hearing a challenge to a government corrigendum that sought to repurpose funds already released to the Ausa Municipal Council.

The dispute relates to four infrastructure projects sanctioned under the "Development Works for the Municipal Council" scheme. The projects included electrification of expanded settlements, construction of a commercial complex and public park, installation of city-wide CCT...
