Mumbai, June 18 -- Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner (BMC) Bhushan Gagrani has mandated a strict crackdown on unclaimed and dilapidated vehicles obstructing city roads, directing officials to remove and dispose of such hazards immediately without compromise, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at the civic headquarters today, Gagrani ordered senior department heads to intensify actions against owners of abandoned vehicles causing traffic disruptions and public inconvenience.
He emphasised that roadside junk vehicles severely impede commuting and will not be tolerated.
"Special enforcement drives must be conducted in coordination with the police to clear these obstacles," the Commissioner instructed. ...
