Mumbai, June 3 -- Senior BJP leader and Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan on Tuesday launched a fierce attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut, labeling him a "broker" and a political adversary actively weakening Uddhav Thackeray's party organisation.

Mahajan's remarks came in response to Raut's earlier criticism, in which he predicted that Mahajan would be among the first BJP leaders to abandon the party if it lost power.

"Uddhav Thackeray does not need any political enemy to destroy his party; Sanjay Raut alone is enough for that," he told reporters.

The senior BJP MLA from north Maharashtra accused Raut and other "brokers" of driving away key leaders and grassroots workers from Shiv Sena (UBT).
