Mumbai, June 2 -- The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Monday detained around 20 people in multiple raids in Bhiwandi-Padgha areas of neighbouring Thane district on the charge of alleged terror activities.
ATS sources said that the anti-terrorism agency along with local police have raided more than 15 places in the area so far and detained around 20 people for questioning.
More than 250 policemen are involved in search operation, which started at midnight and is still ongoing.
ATS has raided the house of Saqib Nachan, who is head of ISIS in Maharashtra.
Previously, both NIA and ATS had conducted raids at Nachan's house.
