Solapur, March 18 -- Maharashtra Kesari title winner Sikandar Sheikh easily defeated Haryana wrestler Ajay Banwala in a grand wrestling tournament organized at Aachagaon village in South Solapur taluka in memory of 1967 Hind Kesari wrestler Hazrat Patel and won the prize money of Rs 2 lakh.
Sheikh dominated the match from the start and secured victory in just two minutes with a decisive move, claiming the top prize.
In another major bout, Nepal's Deva Thapa faced Jaspron Singh from Punjab in an entertaining match. Thapa won the contest with a classic dhobipachad move and bagged a prize of Rs 1.5 lakh.
