Nagpur, Dec. 7 -- : Maharashtra Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde on Sunday confirmed that his office has received a proposal regarding the appointment of the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) and he stated that a decision will be taken at an appropriate time after holding consultations with all concerned parties.
"We have received the Opposition's proposal for appointing the Leader of the Opposition. A decision will be made after discussions with all stakeholders," Shinde said while addressing the media in Nagpur on the eve of the state legislature's winter session.
The LoP post in the Legislative Council has remained vacant since July, when the term of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve ended.
