Pune, June 3 -- Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Tuesday that the central government will set up nine centres of seedlings under the 'Clean Plant' programme in the country, of which three will be in Maharashtra.
He said that one centre for grapes will be started in Pune, another for oranges in Nagpur and third for
pomegranates in Solapur.
A total of Rs 300 crore will be spent for this, he informed and noted that the seedlings obtained from nurseries for horticulture would be disease-free and beneficial to farmers.
