Nagpur, Dec. 13 -- In a landmark move for the state's agricultural sector, the Maharashtra government has given the green light for the development of a 1,200-acre, world-class agricultural market near either Panvel or Vadhavan port.
Once completed, it is expected to become the largest agri-market hub globally.
The project was facilitated through the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, which was passed with a majority in the Assembly on Friday.
