Mumbai, March 30 -- : In a significant move to address delays in land measurement, the state revenue department has decided to appoint private licensed surveyors in every district.
The decision comes in response to a severe shortage of manpower, which has led to a large number of pending cases and stalled development activities.
According to official data, more than 3.12 lakh land measurement cases are currently pending across the state.
The backlog has caused delays in various projects, including business ventures and infrastructure development, as accurate land measurement is a prerequisite for initiating such work.
