Mumbai, Feb. 23 -- Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has ordered suspension of state transport bus services to Karnataka following an alleged attack on a state-run Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus and its driver by pro-Kannada activists in Karnataka's Chitradurga.
Sarnaik said that the bus services will remain suspended till the Congress-ruled Karnataka government clear its stance on the issue.
On Saturday, the face of an MSRTC bus driver was allegedly blackened during the assault, as a result Shiv Sena (UBT) workers in Maharashtra's Kolhapur tied party flags on a Karnataka bus and allegedly painted it black.
