Prayagraj/Varanasi, Feb. 16 -- The Magh Mela, symbolising faith, penance and devotion, concluded on Sunday on the sacred occasion of Maha Shivratri at the holy Sangam in Prayagraj.
The Sangam city reverberated with chants of Har Har Mahadev and Om Namah Shivaya.
In Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi performed Rudrabhishek and Jalabhishek and prayed for the happy life of the people of the state. At Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Shiv devotees were welcomed with a shower of flowers. Offerings received from 63 temples across the country and abroad were presented to Lord Shri Vishweshwar.
On the occasion of the Maha Shivratri Snan Parv at the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, more than 40 lakh devotees took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.
