Mumbai, May 30 -- Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan on Friday called upon the people to preserve the unity of various states in India to remain strong and face competition from the world. Stating that many European nations came together to form the European Union as unity gives them an advantage.
He urged the people to respect diversity and stay united to emerge as Viksit Bharat by 2047, according to an official statement here .
The Governor was speaking at the celebration of the State Foundation Day of Goa and Telangana jointly organised by Maharashtra Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on Friday.
