Mumbai, July 4 -- The issue of onion prices in Maharashtra will be solved shortly as state Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule is directly engaging with Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and Piyush Goyal to resolve the crisis.

His proactive intervention has been welcomed by onion growers and farming communities across the state.

The issue gained urgency following a hunger strike in Amravati by Prahar Janshakti Party leader Bachchu Kadu, who raised concerns about the government's failure to ensure fair prices for onions.

Acting promptly, Bawankule promised a resolution and convened a high-level meeting at the state legislature involving ministers and senior officials from various departments.
