Mumbai, July 16 -- The Maharashtra State Nurses Association has declared plans for an indefinite statewide strike commencing July 18 unless the government addresses their critical demands of pay parity and contractual hiring practices.

The association, representing over 30,000 nurses, will initiate protests at Azad Maidan starting July 16, escalating to a one-day strike on July 17. Failure to resolve grievances by July 18 will trigger an open-ended work stoppage across all government hospitals.
