Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, July 28 -- The Maharashtra State Information Commission has dismissed 7,567 second appeals filed under the Right to Information Act, ruling they constituted deliberate attempts to paralyze government systems through frivolous applications.
The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar bench rejected 81 appeals filed by Janak Ram Rao Gaikwad of Nanded alongside thousands of petitions from 19 other appellants targeting various gram panchayat offices, with officials confirming Monday that all cases underwent detailed hearings before dismissal.
