Mumbai, May 20 -- The Maharashtra government has officially approved and implemented the aggregators policy for app-based transport services across the state, as per a government resolution issued by the Home Department on Tuesday.
The move aims to regulate and streamline services offered by Ola, Uber, Rapido, and carpooling platforms, ensuring higher safety, transparency, and fairness for both drivers and passengers.
According to the resolution, aggregator companies must be registered under the Companies Act, 1956 or 2013, the Cooperative Societies Act, 1912, or the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, and must have an office in Maharashtra.
