Mumbai, Aug. 4 -- The Governor of Maharashtra, C P Radhakrishnan expressed grief over the demise of former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shibu Soren today.
"I was saddened to know about the demise of the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Member of Parliament, Shibu Soren Ji in New Delhi," the Governor wrote in a condolence message.
"Shri Shibu Soren ji dedicated his life to serve Jharkhand with dedication and commitment for almost five decades. He lent his voice to raise the problems of the people of Jharkhand in Parliament. As a Chief Minister, he introduced various welfare schemes to uplift the life of ordinary people, especially tribals," he said.
"In his demise, Jharkhand has lost a fatherly figure and an astute parliamentarian....
