Mumbai, July 21 -- Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan has expressed grief over the demise of former Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan.
In a condolence message here today, Governor Radhakrishnan wrote: "I was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Shri V. S. Achuthanandan, former Chief Minister of Kerala, in Thiruvananthapuram.
Widely regarded as the Bhishmacharya of Kerala politics, Shri Achuthanandan Ji was a towering figure who dominated the political landscape of the State for nearly seven decades. He was a symbol of austerity, simplicity and unwavering integrity in public life.
