Mumbai, Sept. 2 -- The Maharashtra government on Tuesday announced a five-point action plan to address pending demands of the Maratha community, following deliberations by a cabinet sub-committee headed by the Minister for Water Resources (Godavari and Krishna Valley Development Corporation).

The Government Resolution (GR), issued by the General Administration Department, prescribes timelines and measures to resolve issues related to the community's long-standing demands. The cabinet sub-committee was constituted through a GR dated August 22, 2025.
