Mumbai, March 1 -- Amid rising tensions in West Asia and surrounding regions, the Government of India's embassies have issued a security advisory for Indian nationals residing in those areas.

In view of the prevailing regional situation, the Maharashtra Government has also appealed to residents of the state who are currently abroad to remain calm, exercise restraint, and strictly follow official instructions issued by Indian authorities.

According to the advisory, Indian citizens living in Palestine (Ramallah), Qatar (Doha), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh), Israel (Tel Aviv), Iran (Tehran), Iraq (Baghdad), Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman (Muscat), Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi) have been asked to remain particularly vigilant.
