Mumbai, March 6 -- The Planning Department, headed by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, on Wednesday approved a plan worth Rs 381.57 crore for Satara Integrated Tourism Development.

An official press statement stated that Pawar, who is also Minister of Finance and Planning, got approval of the summit committee, under chairmanship of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, for this reformed tourism plan.

With today's decision, religious, historical, nature, water tourism places will be developed in the Western Ghat area of ??Satara district and the tourism growth of the district and the state will be accelerated.
