Mumbai, Dec. 20 -- Maharashtra government has given its approval for the promotion of 190 medical officers to improve healthcare services in tribal, remote, and Naxal-affected areas, officials said here today.
State Health minister Prakash Abitkar has given a sanction with an aim to fill senior-level vacancies and enhance the functioning of primary health centres and government hospitals.
The promotions were made through a transparent counselling process, considering the preference order of the medical officers.
