Mumbai, Dec. 12 -- The Maharashtra government has approved the establishment of four new police stations, two administrative zones, and three Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) divisions in Mumbai to improve law enforcement and policing efficiency, sources in the state home department said here on Friday.
According to the details available the new police stations will be located in Maharashtra Nagar, Golibar, Madh Marve, and Asalpha subarban areas of city increasing the total number of police stations in Mumbai to 95. The government has sanctioned 1,448 new posts for these stations, with a recurring expenditure of Rs 124.13 crore and a non-recurring expenditure of Rs 7.39 crore.
