Mumbai, March 11 -- Maharashtra government has announced the discontinuation of the four-year BA/BSc-BEd (Integrated) course starting from the 2025-26 academic year.
The course will be replaced by the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP), a new four-year teacher training program that is in line with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines, officials said here on Tuesday.
According to the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, candidates aspiring for admission to ITEP will now be required to appear for the national-level entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
As a result, the state-level entrance test for the four-year integrated BA/BSc-BEd course has been cancelled.
