Mumbai, Nov. 29 -- The Maharashtra government has intensified its disability welfare efforts through a comprehensive statewide rehabilitation campaign aimed at ensuring dignity and independence for persons with disabilities. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is personally overseeing the phased initiative, which focuses on large-scale distribution of essential assistive devices across multiple districts.
Implemented in collaboration with the Ratna Nidhi Foundation, the programme provides artificial limbs, hearing aids, wheelchairs and other mobility and support equipment to enhance equal opportunities. Special camps have been organised throughout the state to assist in mainstreaming persons with disabilities.
