Mumbai, March 5 -- The Economic Survey Report for the financial year 2025-26 has projected that Maharashtra will continue to remain one of India's strongest and most dynamic economies, with the state's growth rate expected to reach 7.9 per cent, higher than the national average of 7.4 per cent.

The Survey estimates the state's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) at current prices is likely to exceed Rs 51 lakh crore, driven by positive growth in the agriculture, industry and service sectors.

The report noted that the state economy is likely to maintain its growth momentum for the fifth consecutive year, supported by record GST collections and favourable price conditions.
