Mumbai, Nov. 27 -- Amid rising confusion in several local bodies where partners of the Mahayuti alliance are contesting against each other, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister and senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde on Wednesday clarified that the Ladki Bahin scheme will continue.
His response came at a time when political observers had started questioned whether the scheme's beneficiaries would favour the BJP or Shiv Sena in constituencies where both allies have fielded rival candidates.
Responding to reporters' questions, Shinde asserted that the Ladki Bahin Yojana was conceived and launched under his leadership when he served as Chief Minister.
