Mumbai, Dec. 19 -- There is strong public sentiment to name the Navi Mumbai Airport after the son of the soil, D B Patil, and the government must respect these sentiments, said Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Harshvardhan Sapkal on Friday.
The BJP-led Mahayuti government and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis are deliberately avoiding naming the airport after Patil. However, under no circumstances will any other name be accepted. If needed, we will take to the streets and fight for this demand, he warned.
