Mumbai, Aug. 5 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today stated that the sudden closure of pigeon coops across Mumbai would be inappropriate.

Emphasizing the need for balanced measures, he advocated for alternative arrangements ensuring pigeon safety, ecological balance and public health protection.

Speaking to reporters after a high-level meeting at the Secretariat, Fadnavis stressed the necessity of formulating a systematic code regulating pigeon feeding schedules. This, he explained, would safeguard both pigeon health and prevent adverse public health impacts.
