Nagpur, Dec. 10 -- The Infrastructure Committee of the Maharashtra Cabinet has approved a new alignment for the Nagpur-Chandrapur high-speed expressway, following recommendations from the Centre's Gati Shakti Portal.
According to the updated plan, the expressway will stretch from the Seldo Interchange on the Samruddhi Mahamarg to Navegaon (Mor) on the Durga-Hyderabad highway, covering a distance of 192 km.
An 11 km connecting road to Chandrapur has been retained, bringing the total length to 204 km.
Officials noted that the realignment is expected to save approximately 27 hectares of forest land.
