Chandrapur, Nov. 5 -- The Maharashtra Government has approved the establishment of a new Government Polytechnic in Mul, Chandrapur district.
The state cabinet, in its meeting held on Tuesday, sanctioned the creation of 39 teaching and 42 non-teaching posts for the institution. These positions will be filled in stages.
The new polytechnic will accommodate 300 students and aims to equip youth from rural regions with the technical skills necessary for the state's industrial growth.
With the establishment of the Lloyd Metal and Minerals unit at Surjagad in neighboring Gadchiroli, an industrial zone is expected to emerge in the area.
