Mumbai, April 22 -- Mumbai police have arrested a security guard from Punjab for alerting the control room of Mumbai Police about fake information regarding a purported death threat to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, sources said here on Tuesday.
The man had claimed that the owner of a security firm had given him a contract to kill Shroff and he was given Rs 2 lakh and a weapon for the hit job.
The Khar Police registered a case against the accused for allegedly spreading false information.
However, when the Khar police arrested the accused, Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, 35, it was found that he was sacked over constant absenteeism and had come up with the hoax call plan to frame his employer, sources with the Mumbai police added.
