Satara, March 9 -- Two women were killed on the spot and four others were injured after their speeding car crashed into a stationary truck near Pachwad on Pune-Bangalore national highway in Wai tehsil of the district on Sunday.
According to sources in Wai police, a car was travelling at speed on way to Pune from Satara when it rammed into a truck, which was parked at the side of the highway.
In this incident, two women passengers in the car were killed on the spot and four others were injured, who were admitted at district government hospital for medical treatment.
The deceased women were identified as Nahid Jamir Sheikh (38) of Satara and Salma Irfan Momin (41) of Sangli.
