Satara, June 19 -- Twenty passengers were injured after a state transport bus collided with a roadside tree on the Dhebewadi-Patan road in this district of western Maharashtra on Thursday.
The incident occurred at Janugadewadi when the driver of the bus lost control on the wheel while trying to give way to a private bus coming from the opposite direction and collided with a roadside tree, resulting in injuries to 20 passengers.
All the injured passengers were admitted to a hospital.
Police said the ST bus was speeding towards Dhebewadi when the accident occurred.
Further investigation into the matter is on, sources added.
